Why It's The Default Order
Simplicity is the selling point. Beans and cheese are two ingredients that virtually every person likes, they're cheap to produce, they fill you up, and when wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla they become way more than the sum of their parts. At $1.60, two Bean & Cheese tacos is a $3.20 breakfast that holds you until lunch.
How The Beans Get Made
Our refried pinto beans are cooked in-house from dry beans — slow-simmered with salt and a light seasoning — then mashed and kept warm throughout the day. That's why the beans don't taste canned, and why the texture is creamy rather than pasty. Ask any regular and they'll tell you the beans are the secret.
Regular-Only Moves
First: add extra cheese for fifty cents. Worth it. Second: ask for a side of our house salsa or hot sauce for a pop of heat. Third: pair with a small coffee for the sub-$5 morning. Fourth: if you're feeding more than one person, the Taco Box includes three Bean & Cheese among its twelve tacos.
